Well, finding out what questions users have is a major task! I've been
searching IRC logs and the Ubuntu forums to find the most common
questions people have about a particular subject. There are other ways
of getting the information, though; interviews and questionnaires, for
example.

An example of a question a user might ask is "Why does my screen look
stretched?". However, I just made that question up. If you want the docs
to answer the right questions, you need to collect real questions from
real users...
