documentation for Ubuntu One applications

Hi Documentation Team,

I wanted to touch base with you about a few projects that the Ubuntu One
team is working on for 10.04.

Ubuntu One Control Panel
https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/lucid-ubuntu-one-client-app
This replaces the current Ubuntu One applet and brings many of the
account management features found on the website into a desktop
application.

User Designated Folders
https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/lucid-ubuntu-one-symlinks-and-udfs
Enable any folder in ~/ for Ubuntu One synchronization. Symlinks are
retained but not followed.

Ubuntu One Music Store
https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/lucid-ubuntu-one-musicstore
This is a plug-in for Rhythmbox that adds a music store for popular
music from major record labels.

Contact Picker
https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/lucid-ubuntu-one-contact-picker
The Contact Picker is a reusable component to browse your contacts
(stored in your computer's CouchDB) from within an application or
process. The first implementation of the picker will be for the Ubuntu
One folder sharing experience from Nautilus. Today, you are required to
enter the email address of the person you want to share with, but, in
10.04, you can pick from your existing contacts.

The Ubuntu One team is very excited about these features and is making
great progress on them. One area where we haven't devoted much time,
though, is end-user documentation. Do you think we could get a little
help from the Docs Team for writing and preparing documentation?

The music store would probably be the top priority followed by the
Control Panel. We can probably take care of information about User
Designated Folders on the Ubuntu One website in something like a feature
tour or screencast.

I heard from Jim Campbell that he was going to work with Milo Casagrande
on possibly rewriting the Rhythmbox docs so I can probably chat more
with him about adding materials for the music store.

Please reply if we can work together on these docs. Thanks for your
help.
