I would like to call attention to the
comments<http://news.softpedia.com/news/Ubuntu-Manual-Will-Be-Available-with-Ubuntu-10-04-131201.shtml>on
Softpedia about the inclusion of the Ubuntu-manual on the next CD.
- I've been needing this for some time!
- I think this is also a major step in putting Ubuntu (and Linux)
mainstream.
- Yes, at last, this is good news. This is one of the basic requirements
for increased adoption.
- I have been searching for it's manual and am elated to hear that it
should be out soon.
This got me thinking about creating some exposure, and educating the
community, on the information available to users with the System Docs and
help.ubuntu.com. Maybe as we reach milestones we can create press releases
to be sent to different Ubuntu/Linux websites. We work very hard on the
Ubuntu docs we should make sure users know about the excellent information
available to them. Wouldnt hurt to create some buzz around our project. I
for one feel its justified.--
