The bundle is working how we like it now, good stuff. Just on the
content though, I don't think that you've changed the right section:
it's still possible that someone might want to install
sun-java6-plugin without installing the whole of
ubuntu-restricted-extras so the section that you've amended should
probably stay the same. What we were looking for is something that
updates the list of plugins included with ubuntu-restricted-extras.

Someone (Nathan Murray) appears to have jumped in and done a patch
that does what I'm describing, and adds a few other plugins at the
same time:

I'm going to merge that into our branch and we can consider the bug
fixed. Sorry that we didn't use your patch this time but I hope that
it's given you a good idea of how to make patches and feel free to
jump in with any more bugs or tasks.
