I think we need to be clearer about the maintenance status of 8.04. Readers
could easily get the wrong idea from the fact that this is the final
maintenance release. Suggestions:
* Always lead with the maintenance status, e.g. "Ubuntu 8.04 LTS
continues to be maintained through 2011/2013 through online updates, but
this will be the final maintenance release"
* Explain why this is: we provide installation media for...well,
installation. We recommend that new installations use the latest
release, i.e. 10.04 LTS starting in April.
* Emphasize that updates will continue in the normal way, and that users do
not need to change anything in order to continue to receive maintenance
updates
We might also mention (in case it's not clear to everyone) that there is no
need to reinstall or otherwise take notice of this release for systems which
are already installed: it's only relevant for new installations.
