Am I the only one chuckling to myself? Sorry to be off topic!

Thanks for getting in touch. All source code for Ubuntu can be accessed
through dedicated source code repositories. To access these:
1. Click System -> Administration -> Software Sources.
2. Under the "Ubuntu Software" tab, check "Source code".
3. Click Close and let it reload the package data.
4. Open a Terminal and type the following:
apt-get source PACKAGE_NAME
(replace PACKAGE_NAME with the name of the package that you want to get
the source code for). The source package will be downloaded into your
working directory. You can find information about compiling source
packages here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PackagingGuide/Complete
If you're interested in helping to develop Ubuntu, you might like to get
in touch with the -devel list:

Thanks,
Phil
