UDS Sessions

Hi All,
I just wanted to send out a quick note about two docs-related UDS sessions
that are lined up for this week.
On Monday we'll have a session to discuss larger strategic goals. I was
thinking that I'd like to produce a strategy document like the one that Cody
Somerville created for Xubuntu. Having the strategy document in place has
really helped guide the Xubuntu team with some of their decision-making, and
I think one could help us, too.
I had some great ideas about arranging small-group discussions around some
strategy-related themes . . . I thought that including participants from
various Ubuntu groups could help churn up some ideas that we might not
always catch and give us more to work from in deciding our strategic
direction, but I had these ideas in a sleep-deprived state somewhere over
the Atlantic. I will make some more notes and bounce some ideas off of some
of the folks who are already here to make sure the session goes well.
On Wednesday we'll have a session to talk about goals for 11.10. We have
been working on this already, but some of our goals are still a bit broad.
This session can help focus things a bit more, I think.
I'll provide feedback to the group during the week, but people are also
welcome to participate remotely however they can, and to reply to threads on
the mailing list. This is my first UDS, so this is a bit new to me, too.
Jim
