I sincerely trust I haven't done the wrong thing.

Hi all,
In the past week, I have been a creating a Wiki based on a listing of
the "Title Index" pages.
The current total listing of "TitleIndex" initially takes between 20 and
28 seconds to load on my computer. One of the reasons (there are others)
that I wished to design a new Wiki was to improve this access time for
the majority of users. I concluded that "PageHits" would likely reflect
a good basis to draw on for obtaining a data base. Using that as a guide
I manually copied 390 Title pages generally based on around 400 to 450
of the first listed "PageHits."
I believe from the performance results obtained, the system could easily
include several hundred more in the data base. Keep in mind that it was
also a criteria to produce sufficient data for typically day to day use.
If the system was not adequate, the "TitleIndex" link is also provided
on the first page of the new Wiki. The new Wiki can be found here -
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NewDocs. To load the first page of
"NewDocs" generally takes about 4 seconds.
Here we come to the part where I hope I haven't done the wrong thing. I
am a 69 year old pensioner who struggles with technical issues. I ended
up creating 22 single letter alphabetical pages. My interpretation of
the Wiki Guide could not see that this could not be done, and in fact
when I saw there was already a page labelled "X", I made the assumption
that all would be in order.
How I see that the database could be updated I haven't gone into here,
as I consider that to be irrelevant at this stage. I have really enjoyed
my time working on the Wiki and look forward to updating it regularly. I
hope that I will get that opportunity.
With kind regards,
Geoff Smith.
