Hi Martin.
I adamantly do not support this change. It makes no sense to me to remove
the power and convenience of local hyperlinks at the same location as the
referring text.
I apologize for not chiming in earlier (i.e. before you did a bunch of
work), but I the direction of the thread didn't really sink in for me until
I saw your example, just now.
