I tired to pass on an idea like yours but more trying to seek in survey
form to get numbers of users and their feedback. [1] You think we can
use your pointers as questions in the survey if we made one?

I think it's smarter to do this sort of discussion in the mailing-list
or via the forums for non-mailing-list members to chime in.
