Pedro:

If you need Jaunty features before an official Jaunty is released, you
could try upgrading an official Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid instance to 9.04
Jaunty.

  sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y

  sudo apt-get install update-manager-core
  sudo do-release-upgrade

Answer "Y"es and accept defaults as needed.

You might then need to add an appropriate /etc/apt/sources.list for Jaunty.

It would still be using the slightly older 2.6.27 kernel but that hasn't
seemed to be as much of a problem with other releases as it might sound.

Hmmm... When I tried this out, it changed the hostname to "ubuntu" which
doesn't match /etc/hosts . I wonder where that comes from.
