current problems?

hey,
doesn't anybody have current problems with ubuntu? i'm having a couple 
of bugs that are really annoying me at the moment..

i got this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/196277
and this: 
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.22/+bug/119730
and i can't get dma to work on my dvd-writer.. it takes me about 50-70 
minutes to burn a dvd :s
i've done everything, and nothing works :(
