And here is the second trick

copying a CDROM to iso file

dd if=/dev/cdrom of=filename.iso

Shouldn't we write this in a  more permanent place ? wiki.ubuntu.com or
www.ubuntuguide.org ? I think we should also translate these tricks. I am
already translating ubuntuguide.org to Arabic. You can check it here
