Course Objective

This course will introduce the concept of "Embedded Linux", its basic
components and how to build them from source. Also we will briefly touch
the subject of kernel modules.

Session 1: what is Linux, booting steps, Cross compliers intro, Building
the boot loader.

Session 2: Building the Kernel, putting Boot loader + Kernel on board and
booting up.

17th March 2012

Session 1: Building and downloading the File system, first complete boot !

Session 2: About Busybox, Summery and Q&A.

Saturday

27th March 2012

Session 1: What are Linux Kernel modules ? User space vs. kernel space.

Session 2: Building our first kernel module.

*: sessions start at 10:00AM and end at 2:30PM. There is a 30 min break in
between.
