Librerias compartidas no encontradas

Hola listeros, llevo apuntado a la lista desde los tiempos del 4.10 y
siempre os habiais anticipado a los problemillas que me iban saliendo
("esto lo habia visto yo en la lista...-> y arreglao!!) hasta ahora:
El problema es que al intentar ejecutar el Cisco SIP Proxy Server me
da el siguiente error:
psanchez en kubuntu:/usr/local/sip/bin$ ./sipdctl start
/usr/local/sip/bin/sipd: error while loading shared libraries:
libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file
or directory
./sipdctl start: sipd could not be started

El binario era un rpm para RedHat 7 y lo transformé con alien.
Está instalado en una kubuntu 5.04 actualizada por "sudo aptitude
dist-upgrade" a la 5.10.
El paquete build-essential lo tengo en la version mas reciente.

A ver si alguien sabe como instalarlas pues al buscar solo me salen
paquetes virtuales no instalables.
