perdida acceso a router

Llevo unos pocos meses en Linux con Ubuntu 5.10 y sin grandes problemas hasta ahora.
Hace poco he perdido la conexion al router (tanto wifi como con cable) sin causa aparente y consultando los foros no he encontrado ninguna solucion.
Tengo un portatil Toshiba M40X con "double boot" y XP.

Para descartar un problema de hardware he comprobado que funciona bien con el XP tanto el wifi como la conexion con cable.
He repasado la salida de los comandos de red y me parecen todas correctas, excepto la del ping que me da: sendmsg: Operation not permitted.

Tambien ensaye de incluir el parametro irqpoll al kernel en /boot/grub/menu.list y no funciono.
