Error al grabar CDs

Tengo problemas para usar la grabadora de dvd y crear
cd de música, con serpentine me dice error al grabar
el disco, puede haber quedado inservible, pero ni
siquiera se ha encendido la luz de la grabadora, y el
cd está perfecto ya que con el xp lo grabo sin
problemas.

Creí que podía ser problema del serpentine, así que
instalé GnomeBaker para grabar, pero tampoco me graba,
uso Ubuntu 6.06, el mensaje de error de GnomeBaker es
el siguiente:
