Ipod shuffle y kernel 2.6.12-10-686

Hola lista,

tengo un problema que a ver si saben resolver.

Resulta que el otro dia cambie el kernel 2.6.12-10-386 y me puse el
2.6.12-10-686 ya que se ajusta mas al hardware. Pero si elijo ese
kernel para arrancar, cuando conecto el IPod un dispositivo usb, ya no
se automonta...

¿Esto a que se debe? ¿Sera cosa del kernel? ¿O quizas deba
configurarlo para usb 2.0?
