Escribir en /dev

Buenas.

Estoy instalando Vmware Player, pero tengo problemas en la instalación, ya que 
parece ser que escribe en /dev, pero algún programa debe borrar lo escrito.  

Abajo os cito el mensaje que me hace pensar lo dicho; gracias anticipadas  ;)
