Grub problems

I'm having some problems to install UBUNTU flight 5,
Process to installation is correct, but when reboot my machine appear a message than says Grub stage 1.5 ( more or less) and no hang up de system.
I have a HDD maxtor SATA 120Gb and partition is:
 /dev/sda0 20Gb Microsoft Windows Xp
 /dev/sda1 2 Gb Swap XP
 /dev/sda3 100 Mb /boot appear than /dev/sda3 but are the first 100 Mb Serial Ata
 ... Another partitions NTFS y FAT
  andfinally
 /dev/sda12 20Gb / 
 /dev/sda13 15Gb /home
 /dev/sda14 2Gb SWAP
I install another distros Opensuse 10.1, Fedora core 5 and this problem not appear, but I want install my favorite distro UBUNTU and I can't.
