Hola JCV,

Según veo, eres muy lanzado en cuanto a versiones BETA, y la verdad es
que llevo probando toda la vida la versión del CVS (ahora de svn) y
nunca he tenido problemas de inestabilidad.

Por lo tanto, deberías olvidarte de eso, bajarte la última revisión
del svn y compilarla (0.97 o más, no recuerdo). Sigue este tutorial:

NOTA: No te instales subversion, instálate el paquete 'esvn'

NOTA2: Creo que necesitas tener Tk y Tcl para compilarlo, y nada más.
Haz 'sudo apt-get install tcl8.4-dev tk8.4-dev' antes de nada, y
solucionado.
