Problemas al usar Beryl + aiglx en una ATI x1700

Leí ciertas cosas en esta página:

Así que hice lo que ponía ahí, deshabilité el módulo fglrx, hice después un
rmmod fglrx tal y como leí aquí:

Note: An *alternative* to rebooting is to restart the X Server by pressing
your CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE keys. You must remove any old kernel modules such as
"drm" "radeon" or "fglrx" using the "rmmod" command. Example: rmmod fglrx

La cosa es que al hacer ahora un fglrxinfo ahora me salen menos cosas y
sigue sin funcionar Beryl...No sé porqué, pero no tendría que haber quitado
el módulo fglrx o esa impresión me da.

También decir que anteriormente a esto lo que hice fue editar el xorg.conf y
ví que en monitor habían varias entradas de ati:

Lo que hice aquí fue editar donde pone la sección entera donde pone devide y
driver vesa y el ordenador después de reiniciar se quedaba colgado...Menos
mal que tenía un live cd y lo puse después como estaba.

Necesito que me funcione la aceleración de mi ati y ya no sé que
hacer...Algún alma caritativa??
