Instalar CompizFusion desde repositorios GIT

Hola listeros,
Estoy siguiendo los pasos descritos en este enlace[1] para instalar los nuevos plugins de CompizFusion desde los repositorios y no lo logro y estoy sospechando que sea cosa de GIT. Lo mejor del caso es que tengo instalado git-core:

apt-get install git-core

Tengo puesto el proxy para poder salir a Internet:

Ejecuto el primer comando de makefusion:
./makefusion packages

Ejecuto el segundo comando del script makefusion
./makefusion clone

Que estoy haciendo mal? Alguien que lo haya hecho ya y me pueda dar una ayuda?
