No hay ningún problema, todo lo contrario.
Tenés que acostumbrarte a usar la consola, te saca de apuros muchas veces
como en este caso. No se porque pero aun no me acostumbro a instalar cosas
desde la gráfica (vengo de slackware)
Con lo del micrófono tuviste suerte? probá ejecutando "alsaconf" y subi el
volumen del mic, luego guarda los cambios con "alsactl store"
