Descarga la versión 3.10.9 de HPLIP desde
http://sourceforge.net/projects/hplip/files/hplip/
Luego sigue las instrucciones del comentario #3 de Narla Naga Samrat
Chowdary en https://bugs.launchpad.net/hplip/+bug/652963
