Hola buenas.

Yo tuve el mismo problema, y no te lo puedo asegurar pero según leí es
porque han cambiado las X11 y no son funcionales los drivers. Yo lo
solucioné desinstalando el Ubuntu 12.10 e instalando el 12.04, que ahí si
que funcionan bien.
