conectando a un router Vodafone

Hola

Estoy en Valencia.  Uso un Vodafone DSL router, un HG 556a.   Ese está
conectando al internet solo por el 3g dongle (HSDPA usb stick),  Para
las primeras 3 semanas que vivimos aquí no habia problemas pero ya no
puedo conectar al internet por wifi, solo por cable ethernet.

El router es 192.168.0.1 como es común.  Allí no veo ninguna opción
que me ayuda.

He reinciado el router.  He tratado de usar Lubuntu que tengo
instalado con el mismo resultado.  Con W7 no hay problema.  En Ubuntu
y Lubuntu Network Manager sigue pidiendo la contraseña.  He quitado la
coneción en Network Manager y lo he hecho de nuevo, tambien sin
resultdos.

Con el cable ethernet no hay ningun problema.

connect, you load your browser and it takes you to a login screen.

Mostly it works.  Sometimes I have trouble connecting to the router
though.  Sometimes it is working fine and then quits.  Usually all I
have to do is reboot the browser.  Sometimes it seems to require that
I un-enable wireless in Network Connections (using Ubuntu 12.04) then
re-enable.

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for making the connection
more reliable and if possible skip the login step (not required in
Windows).

I am using a Samsung netbook.
