hey guys!

I'm organising the launch party in Melbourne Australia via
http://ubuntu.org.au

this is the first party I have organised, but I have been to a couple of
launch parties in sydney australia. from my experience of the launch
parties in sydney there has not been any formal talks organised. but it
sounds like a good idea! our problem with speakers is that the bar we are
going to might be a little noisy for speakers. I concentrated on finding a
place that had wi-fi access. the bar has since contacted me to tell me it
might be getting busy there on the night we have organised as we have a
public holiday the next day.

I'm sure if you contact your local linux users group you will find someone
who has done something really important. such is the nature of open
source.

anyways. how are people going with their preperations?

peter
