yes it was 7.10->8.04 and I updated everything in 7.10 before going to
8.04

Was the latest language-pack-fr 1:7.10+20080229 from gutsy-updates
installed before doing the upgrade?

Bug description:
hello
look at the attachement, it is downloading packages but the other lines say "..... en cours" which mean it is DOING THAT THING. I suggest to remove the "en cours" word.
