3Com Ethernet adapter

J'ai deux pistes pour ma non-reconnaissance de l'ethernet adapter 3Com 
de mon IBM THinkpad X20 :

1.

Il faut le driver suivant (citation de http://www.scyld.com/vortex.html)

"CardBus cards

The "3c59x.c" driver source supports the 3Com CardBus Ethernet adapters. 
The driver must either be compiled with pci-scan support, or be compiled 
with the -DCARDBUS flag. If using the -DCARDBUS flag, the resulting 
driver binary differs from the PCI version and may only be used with the 
user-level PCMCIA package. The suggested compile command is at the 
bottom of the file. Additional directions are included with the PCMCIA 
package."


Questions :

1. S'agit-il bien de deux pistes différentes ? D'après le log de boot, 
laquelle semble la plus probable ?

2. Si j'opte pour la première, comment ajouter l'argument "pci=noacpi" 
au noyau pour les prochains boots ?
Si j'opte pour la seconde, comment faire pour compiler le driver, et 
comment faire pour le compiler avec le support pci-scan ?
