atleast for the packaging team it would be very hard to maintain a specific lists of tasks, since most of the simpler things like updating easy
package move pretty constantly. The tasks that don't cycle through pretty quickly are likely either too complex for newcomers, or infrastructure
ideas (CI testing for example) etc, that exist as nothing more than a vague idea right now.

Maybe someone could write a small tutorial, about how to find something to work on. update and submit for review. Most of the packaging guides
around are so very comprehensive they would be possibly be pretty daunting for newcomers.
