Δοκίμασε αυτό:
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/lucid-partner.list.old
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
Αυτό για να φτιάξει η λίστα με τα πακέτα (να μην σου βγάζει πια το "N:
Ignoring file 'lucid-partner.list.old' in directory
'/etc/apt/sources.list.d/' as it has an invalid filename extension"),
καθώς έχει ξεχασμένα αρχεία από πολύ παλιότερη έκδοση.
Αν μπορείς ξαναδείξε μου το τι σου βγάζει όταν τρέχεις τις εντολές.
Μετά συνεχίζουμε να δούμε αν το πρόβλημα με το tray παραμένει.

Κατ' αρχήν τα θερμά μου συγχαρητήρια που έχεις την υπομονή και συνεχίζεις να ασχολείσαι με το πρόβλημα μου.
Παραθέτω το αποτέλεσμα του τερματικού όταν έτρεξα και τις τρεις εντολές. Αναμένω για τα επόμενα βήματα:
