[ubuntu-in] BSNL Broadband

Hi,
I am new to Linux.....
Currently I am using Airtel GPRS to access the net, its too slow so i have joined my friends network which uses BSNL Broadband.
PLease help me how to configure ADSL modem?
Is there any need for some settings in Firefox?
