I'm not sure what tally does... but think 'gnucash' is an alternative, it's a small business financial accounting software, similar to quicken, which comes for windows...

For some reason, tallysolutions is not pushing it. But you can download
a trial version at your site. But is neither open source nor free.
There is some merit in using an Indian accounting solution, but sadly,
not many options.

Another package native to Linux is Kalculate, but no idea how it is.
heard of that - some claim about being the first accounting package or
some such !!
