Hi Parthan,
Dunno how you downloaded your stuff. What I usually do is
download through a torrent so don't have to check hashing. Then while
burning to media, do it at something like 8x or therabouts as one
cannot be sure either about the media itself or how the burner
functions. After doing that, usually do the checking media which is
one of the options. This way you have made sure that a coaster is not
there. The alternate ncurses based CD is also nifty as a backup idea.
Lastly, you haven't mentioned anything about what your system is,
there is a list of system requirements & one which I have seen which
fails during installations is due to lack of RAM. Ubiquity requires
512 MB RAM (its supposed to work even at less, there have been some
improvements made) but still it doesn't harm to have that much.
