I think I speak for all the subscribers in the mailing list. While we
admire the effort you put into composing a reply to a question on the
mailing list, it would be extremely helpful if you could edit the
subject of the mail. Many of us use the subject line to filter
messages, due to the large volume of mail that we receive. Some of us
decide whether to read a message based on what is in the subject line.
Not editing the subject line when replying to a digest message is
considered rude. Please abstain from doing so in the future.
