[ubuntu-in] How to use bsnl broadband in ubuntu 6.06

Hi all,
          I remember network manager issues with 6.06 the dhcp at that
time was patchy at best. Another thing to keep in mind how the
connection is between the router/modem & the system. If its with
ethernet then it became easier. What I would suggest if possible use
7.04 & you should get internet working on the word go through normal
dhcp. If that doesn't work then go to System > Network-admin  and put
the DNS details there.
      Another thing do you use dialer in windows to dial into the
service for authorization & all or is the username & pwd put up in the
router/modem itself? Unless all these things are not known its
slightly difficult to tell why its behaving like that.
