[ubuntu-in] unable to install ubunt 7.04 on my system

Hello everyone ,

Iam unable to install ubunt 7.04 on my system @ home.
System configuration:
P4, 256MB RAM, 1.7GHz

I was able to install only ubuntu 5.10 which does not use the live CD for
installation. It is explicitly an installation CD.

When i boot from ubuntu 7.04 CD, it takes a very long time to reach the
screen where i can find an icon which can be double clicked to install
ubuntu.

But when i double click on that and wait for more than 10 minutes, the next
screen will not appear.

*Please let me know if there is any other way by which i can install ubuntu
(With out actually doubleclicking that icon).*
