[ubuntu-in] Problems with some web pages in ubuntu7.10

Hi all
 I am using ubuntu7.10. When i loading some web sites with Firefox its not
at all showing the contents. They have clearly mentioned that this site will
work properly only with IE6.0 or above and also i have to get some java
applets to be loaded in my browser when i click a link in that particular
site. I have tried IE4rlinux but it was not possible to get that java
applets working in that too. even i have tried opera for that nothing
useful.

Can anyone suggest me any of browser just like IE but designed for
linux/ubuntu or can anyone guide to how to configure jvm for a ubuntu/linux
browser
