[ubuntu-in] need help for booting/opening

Dear Sir,
thanks for all of you - in replying to my mail, which even was not sent to
anyone in particular.
Generally, even if addressed to someone in particular, we dont expect
answers. Thanks for so many people giving so much information.
And, to all of you, I solved this by installing Jaunty in the same
partition which it was earlier installed. Except the fact that i had to
mine the datas from the other partitions to this Jaunty partition, it was no
problem at all. In fact it is now even better.
now i have - jaunty, xp & open suse 11 too, all booting from grub. it
works... no problem.
thanks all of you, for the help given now, and for those help which will be
given later (due to my bungling)
