hi,

i feel that there is nothing wrong with os. when u install a 32 bit os on a
64 bit machine. it will work like a 32bit machine.
i m using 32 bit ubuntu 8.10 version on 64 bit amd machine with nvidia
graphics card. things are working fine.
although 64bit xp having problems like no support for sony digital cameras,
problem in plugin downloads.

if u have enough time, try with other ubuntu versions too.

regards
shrikant
