Some weeks (or months) back i asked about a software to make slide
shows with images and to generate a video file with sound

well just quite accidently found one
Called quite nicely

A simple and lightweight DVD slideshow maker
its available in the Ubuntu repos

am trying my first slide show - to see what its like, i think it
should work and be able to compete with some popular other "OS" apps
