[ubuntu-in] problems with Ubuntu Hardy installation

Hi All

I installed Ubuntu Hardy on A135 Toshiba laptop. After a couple of 
reboots, the title bar from all programs have vanished. So I can not 
minimize windows or move them, The Application etc panel bar is behind 
any application that is running and so on. What to do?

I get a window at login saying $HOME/.dmrc is being ignored and it 
should be owned by owner and should have permissions 644. I did change 
that and verified and seems fine, but the note persists and I have this 
problem.

Please suggest,
