Hi Shrikant,

if you are not planning to upgrade your hardware or do not need any software
updates, i.e., if you think that all the  software you have installed
currently is fine, it's ok if you do not upgrade.

But you need to realise that you are talking about an operating system
that's about 2 and ahlf years old with no promise of Long Time Support.

I would personally suggest that you should install (not upgrade) Ubuntu
10.04 when it releases at the end of this month. Besides supporting latest
hardware and having software updates, this Ubuntu has Long Term Support (LTS
Edition). Plus, the community will help you more with updated software
rather than old software.
