I had experimented with mixing gnome and kde, but was dissapointed by
the lack of seamless interface - though the apps seemed to work without
any problems. Since then I have Ubuntu and Kubuntu on
separate partitions (along with Debian and MS-doze) and use any one
depending on my mood.
