--- IP ADDRESS ---
$ ifconfig <ethernet_card_name> <ip_address>/<mask>
eg: ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.2/24

--- GATEWAY ---
$ route add default gw <gateway_address>

--- DNS ---
In /etc/resolv.conf, type the following:
nameserver <dns_server_ip>
