[ubuntu-in] battery applet is missing

dear friends,
my battery applet is missing in my laptop (Acer Aspire 4745), I was having hopes 
on 10.10, but I got disappointed. Previously I mean in Lucid my microphones 
(Gnome-Sound-Recorder) was not working, but it was cured with 10.10. 

 
as far as this battery applet is concerned, it is some thing related to 
configuration. My Kernel is unable to identify or get communicated with the 
hardware. why I am saying like this is I tried every thing from Gnome side 
setting but in vain. I even tried Switchroot kernel patch ........no use. can 
some hardware programer....please help me.
