This is what    Hardik Dalwadi suggested to install the path

+++
#sudo apt-get update
#sudo apt-get upgrade
#sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hardik-dalwadi/ppa
#sudo apg-get update
#sudo apt-get install modemmanager
#sudo reboot

Will it be oky to skip the second line  #sudo apt-get upgrade  ??
