Hello everybody,
I just updated my karmic through package manager, but during update there
was power supply problem and update was interrupted. After it was completed
the pc was restarted then it shows up
     usplash:setting mode 1152*864
     usplash:using mode 1024*768

*could not access PID for nmbd
    ubuntu 9.10 coderunner running tty1
    coderunner login:

The previous version was linux 2.6.31.20 which works fine still now
The version to which it was updated is linux 2.6.31.21(shows above error)

Will it be safe to remove the new linux image means 2.6.31.21.

/boot/grub/menu.lst does not show the menu.

Please help...
Regards,
Apu
