@ Kaushal,

I have not tried Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, but i did [1] in Ubuntu 9.10 (Live 
USB), it was working fine. Please make sure that you restart the 
modem-manager to reflect the new one (killall -9 modem-manager). Also, 
Please do it  for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and let us know your testing result. 
Here is command, to make sure that it's installed.
